Space Exploration Technologies will launch their Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station. It will bring with it over 3,100 kilograms of cargo to the outpost. Included in the trunk is International Docking Adapter 2, the second IDA to launch. IDA-1 was launched on CRS-7 in June 2015, but the rocket exploded a little over two minutes into flight. All hardware was lost. NASA has since ordered a replacement, IDA-3, which will launch on CRS-12.
