Expedition 58 was originally going to include Russian cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague. However, during their ascent into orbit Oct. 11, 2018, in their Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft, their carrier rocket experienced a failure. They failed to reach orbit and did not join with Expedition 57 and thus Expedition 58.

Soyuz MS-09 rendezvous, docking

After a two-day trek to the ISS, Soyuz MS-09 with Russian cosmonaut Sergey Prokopyev, European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst and NASA astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor is scheduled to autonomously dock with the station's Rassvet module at about 9:07 a.m. EDT (13:07 GMT) June 8, 2018.

After several hours of leak checks, the Soyuz trio will open the hatches between the two spacecraft and join Expedition 56 crew members Oleg Artemyev of Roscosmos, and Drew Feustel and Ricky Arnold of NASA to bring the ISS crew compliment to six.

Soyuz MS-09 launch

Soyuz MS-09 is scheduled to launch three members of the Expedition 56 crew to the International Space Station. They include Russian cosmonaut Sergey Prokopyev, European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst and NASA astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor. Liftoff is scheduled for 7:12 a.m. EDT (11:12 GMT) June 6, 2018.

They will arrive at the ISS two days later. The spacecraft is expected to dock with the Rassvet module.

Launch site: Launch Pad 1/5, Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan

Soyuz MS-06 will launch three members of the Expedition 53 crew to the International Space Station. They include Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, and NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Joseph Acaba.

They will arrive at the ISS some four orbits, six hours later. The spacecraft is expected to dock with the Poisk module.

Soyuz MS-04 undocking and landing

Soyuz MS-04 will undock from the International Space Station and land in Kazakhstan. Coming back to Earth are Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and NASA astronauts Jack Fischer and Peggy Whitson. Yurchikhin and Fischer have been in space since April 2017 while Whitson has been living on the ISS since November 2016.

Whitson launched to the ISS in Soyuz MS-03, but was granted a three-month extension in part because Soyuz MS-04 only launched two people to the station and an extra seat was available for landing.

They will arrive at the ISS some four orbits, six hours later. The spacecraft is expected to dock with the Rassvet module

Soyuz MS-03 undocking and landing

Soyuz MS-03 will undock from the International Space Station and land in Kazakhstan. Coming back to Earth are Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy and Thomas Pesquet. The two have been living at the International Space Station since November 2016.

Peggy Whitson launched to the ISS in this spacecraft, but was granted a three-month extension. She will return to Earth with the crew of Soyuz MS-04 in September 2017.

Expedition 51 Commander Peggy Whitson and Flight Engineer Jack Fischer will venture outside the outpost in their spacesuits to replace an avionics box that routes command and data information to external science experiments.

This will be the 200th spacewalk in support of International Space Station assembly and maintenance, the ninth for Whitson and first for Fischer.

Three members of Expedition 50 will board their Soyuz MS-02 spacecraft and return to Earth. Upon undocking from the zenith port of the Poisk module, the three remaining aboard the ISS will automatically transition to Expedition 51.

Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrei Borisenko as well as NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough have been in space since Oct. 19, 2016.
