Russian EVA-45a

Roscosmos is planning a spacewalk, dubbed Russian EVA-45a, in part to investigate the recent microcrack discovered on the orbital module of Soyuz MS-09. During the outing, two cosmonauts are expected to egress from the Pirs module and make their way to the Soyuz to peel back the thermal covering around the hole, which was sealed in late August by the crew of Expedition 56.

Russian cosmonauts and Expedition 56 flight engineers Oleg Artemyev and Sergey Prokopyev are scheduled to venture outside the International Space Station via the Pirs airlock on the Russian Orbital Segment.

The spacewalk is currently expected to start at about 11:58 a.m. EDT (16:05 UTC) Aug. 15, 2018 when the hatch to the Pirs module is opened. During the outing, the pair will release a number of small satellites, retrieve materials science samples from the Zvezda service module and install the Icarus experiment, according to NASA.

NASA astronauts Drew Feustel and Ricky Arnold are scheduled to perform their third spacewalk during the Expedition 55/56 increment. They are expected to run cables on the exterior of the outpost and install high-definition cameras on the forward end of Harmony in preparation for upcoming commercial crew flights, among other tasks.

The two veteran spacewalkers will leave the Quest airlock for a 6.5 hour excursion at about 8 a.m. EDT (12:00 GMT) June 14, 2018.

Just a week after docking, NASA astronauts Drew Feustel and Ricky Arnold will go on a spacewalk to install wireless antennas on the International Space Station's Tranquility module, according to NASA, and replace cameras on the P1 truss segment.

The two veteran spacewalkers will leave the Quest airlock for a 6.5 hour excursion on March 29, 2018.

Expedition 51 Commander Peggy Whitson and Flight Engineer Jack Fischer will venture outside the outpost in their spacesuits to replace an avionics box that routes command and data information to external science experiments.

This will be the 200th spacewalk in support of International Space Station assembly and maintenance, the ninth for Whitson and first for Fischer.
