Axiom Mission 1 launch, docking

Axiom Mission 1 is set to be the first fully-private crewed mission to the International Space Station.

Aboard is Axiom Space astronaut (a former NASA astronaut) Michael Lopez-Alegria and spaceflight participants Larry Connor, Mark Pathy and Eytan Stibbe.

The mission is expected to launch atop a Falcon 9 rocket in Crew Dragon Resilience for a day-long trip to the ISS. There the four will dock with a port on the Harmony module for an eight-day stay aboard the orbiting outpost.

This is the first mission to the ISS on behalf of Axiom Space, which plans to add private modules to the outpost by the middle of the decade.
