CRS-24 Dragon launch

SpaceX is slated to fly its third cargo Dragon resupply mission to the International Space Station in 2021 — CRS-24.

CRS-24 is the fourth mission to use the upgraded Dragon 2 spacecraft design and the 24th under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract. This particular flight is expected to utilize Dragon C209, which was previously flown during the CRS-22 mission in June 2021.

Cargo Dragon can send up to 6,000 kilograms to orbit and return up to 3,000 kilograms to Earth. While cargo Dragon spacecraft can hold external equipment inside its expendable trunk section, there is not any slated for this flight.

Once in orbit, it should take about a day for the vehicle to reach the ISS. It is expected to dock with the forward port of the Harmony module.
